Love was definitely in the air on Thursday as celebs came out to support the release of Kevin Hart’s “Let Me Explain,” to kick off the long BET Awards Weekend.  Kevin, and his girlfriend Eniko dressed in killer Tom Ford Gladiator sandals, were spotted cuddling on the red carpet as they arrived at the premiere, and were followed by couples Antonia and Terricka Cromartie,  Jada & Chris Paul and Laila Ali and Curtis Conway.

Other celebs that graced the red carpet included Snoop Dogg, Nick Cannon, Basketball Wives LA stars Jackie Christie and Gloria Govan, Regina King, Tichina Arnold and more.

New parents Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa are able to get out and enjoy themselves now that their 4-month old son is getting older. The Hip Hop couple was spotted in Hollywood earlier this week, leaving the Supper
Club after a long night of partying.

Probably just more happy, more excited. I waited nine months for him. I’d, in my head, kind of built up what I thought he would look like, what I thought he would sound like, and then just finally when he came it was like that relief, like, “Yo, he’s here.”

On how his parents feel about being grandparents
They love it. It’s their first grandchild, so yeah they are in love all over again. I don’t even exist to them. It’s just all about Bash.

On how Sebastian looks
He looks Asian and Spanish. I knew he was going to look like a little papi. I didn’t know about the Asian, though. [laughs] Yeah, he’s a little papi-looking thing.

On who came up with their son’s name
Amber actually came up with the name Sebastian.  We wanted just like a regular name and something cool and something normal. Something kinda like ordinary but still traditional and a cool nickname came from it, Bash.

On why they chose that particular name
Because we’re so crazy. [We wanted him] to start off normal and then you can develop your own crazy. We’re not going to grow you into crazy.

Couple Fell To Death During When They Are Having Sex!

COUPLE are believed to have fallen to their deaths when a window they were having sex against gave way, say reports.

The horrific accident allegedly happened in China when the glass pane shattered.The tragic man and woman are then understood to have hurtled to their deaths.

 Eyewitnesses said the couple both fell to the ground as they clinched on to each other. A source in China said: “With the two of them holding each other tight, they fell out of the building”.

Blood is splattered near their bodies on the pavement.Medical staff and what appear to be police officers can also be seen examining the scene.The man and woman are thought to have fallen out of an apartment in the city of Wuhan, central China.

Local sites suggested windows in the building were of poor quality.

Leading oral care brand, Close Up toothpaste, has reiterated its commitment to promoting a healthy oral care culture. The challenge is expected to bring together 300,000 students who will brush at the same time at different locations. Speaking during the press conference to announce the forthcoming Tooth brushing Challenge, Ozia Gyang, Category Manager Oral Care, Unilever Nigeria, makers of Close Up toothpaste and other household brands, said that Close Up was putting its weight behind the Challenge as a way of reemphasising the importance of healthy oral hygiene and regular care of the teeth and mouth by brushing twice daily. She said that the Challenge was in line with the brand’s ‘Brush Twice Daily’ campaign.

Dexter Adeola, Close Up Brand Manager, who also spoke, said that Nigerians should join hands to make the World Record Tooth brushing challenge a success. He urged Nigerians to show their support by brushing twice that day and every other day. 

Adeola went further to say that the benefits of brushing twice daily cannot be overemphasised as a healthy mouth, gum and teeth play a huge role in the overall health of an individual.

In preparation for the Challenge, 300 secondary school teachers have undergone a special Teacher’s Alignment Training Session so as to host the event. The teachers have also been informed of the World Record standards for counting the number of students brushing in each school, the designed model for the tooth brushing as well as the waste recycling element to the attempt.

Chris Brown Accident Victim: ‘I Was So Afraid…He Has Lots Of Tattoos’

Who knew a small fender bender that resulted in no damages to the cars involved would blow up like this?

A lady by the name of Olga got into a car accident with Chris Brown last month (which was snapped by the paparazzi) and now the Miss Russia LA 2013 winner is capitalizing big time off of the moment after alleging
that Chris gave her false insurance and registration information.

Yesterday, she spoke to TMZ in a video interview and said she didn’t know who Chris or Karrueche Tran were after the accident.  After they took photos of her car, she tried to take a picture of them and get their information for her insurance company, however, she claims Chris went crazy and snatched her phone. She also said she felt threatened because he had a big car and tattoos:

He was polite at first but when I took a picture and asked him for his driver’s license and didn’t get it, he start scream at me and he got really crazy. He said I have to delete the picture and he tried to grab my phone but [Karrueche] started screaming at him, ‘Don’t touch her, don’t touch her.’ He called me a b—h and say basically what I think about myself if I’m in new Mercedes so I have money and all this kind of stuff.

On If She Got All the Necessary Info After the Accident
The girl gave me her driver’s license. She wasn’t driving. They gave me some piece of paper. It was insurance for Lamborghini…expired insurance. I never got any driver’s license from him. I didn’t know who he is and I didn’t recognize him.

On If She Will Sue For Emotional Damages
My blood pressure was so high. It was my first car accident ever and I’m a foreigner. I was so afraid. First of all when I first got out of the car he looked scary because it’s a big car and he has lots of tattoos so he looked kind of scary. Then, when everything happened, I got so frustrated and my blood pressure was so high. It was so hard for me emotionally.
No I don’t. I’m not planning to sue him. I didn’t want anything. I just do what anybody should did when they get in car accident. I just follow procedure and that’s it. I don’t want anything from him. It’s not my business what’s going to happen to him.

 TMZ points out that Chris had on a long sleeve shirt that day that covered most of his tattoos but who knows.  Hopefully, Chris can prove he gave her the correct info.  He’s already been charged with a hit-and-run for the incident after Olga reported him to police, and is scheduled for arraignment on July 15.

Wale Talks Love & Emotional Rap, Says Men Should Stop Running

Does anyone remember when Wale used to talk about love, relationships and chatthing as a guest blogger for Honey Magazine?  Although he’s currently running from those things, he definitely has some interesting views when it comes to relations between men and women.

Earlier this week, during a promo run for his new album The Gifted, he stopped by Nitecap with Peter Bailey to talk about his new project as well as how he’s been affected by fame in the last few years.  The conversation eventually ventured into love with Wale admitting that he doesn’t have a girlfriend currently because of his attitude, selfishness and greed.

He also admits he is trying to figure out what love is while saying that he can’t wait until he is able to experience fatherhood because he believes he has more than enough love to give to his kids.

On why he can’t keep a girlfriend
[…] Because of my attitude, my greed. The nature of a man I embody that. I’m a living embodiment of all the flaws, greed, the selfishness. I’ve got all of those things. I’m just knowledgeable enough to speak on them and I’m secure with where I am in my life. A lot of men keep it inside or are living in denial. I just live my life that way.

On love
I went through years at a time where I didn’t even really believe in it. I thought it was all chance and chemical imbalance. It was kinda euphoria, when its like the right time, the right place, the right shape, the right situation. When you think something is going on in your mind and in your heart but in actuality its all lust. As growing I’m still trying to figure out what love is to me. But I think it is different to everybody though. I really do think there’s a different internal definition that’s beyond words for everybody [and] for what love is. There’s relationships where people really can feel love but there not magnums. So, everybody’s description of love might be different and I’m still trying to figure it out.

On showing emotion
Emotion is a taboo in hip hop. I don’t know when that started. But I just feel like we are supposed to be poets and we cant sing and do all that – emotions is suppose to come through our words. So when you take that emotion away, you’ve got a bunch of sh*t that’s monotone and you’re not really feeling nothing. […] I feel like emotion is good in hip hop. [They'll say being emotional] is like being a woman or whatever. That’s how it is. […] I’ve come to grips with the fact that I’m kind of an emotional person. That’s what makes me make songs like “Lotus Flower Bomb” or a lot of things people fell in love with on my mixtape.

On the one thing men need to stop doing
I just feel like we just can’t keep running away. I can’t wait until I have kids because I’ve got so much love to give them. That’s going to be what’s going to give me that peace that nothing is ever going to be able to give me. We just can’t keep running away. A lot of times women do add to it now too, like women, a lot of them like to manipulate men and use their children as pawns. I always say, ‘Why use you’re child as a pawn, when there should be a king and queen?’ Like, a lot of women will be like, ‘Oh, you’re not going to come and pick your child?,’ when in actuality they really wanna say, ‘You’re not going to come over and make me feel okay or give me some type of attention? I’ve put on this weight since this baby and I ain’t been looking the same and my self-confidence ain’t what it used to be and I need some type of attention.’ That’s what it really means sometimes. They tried to make it seem like the [guys] don’t care about their child or whatever. But for the most part, black women can’t keep running away. That’s a cycle that’s been around for years.

Chris Brown Is Not Having The Best Week Ever

 

 Back in 1987, Michael Jackson, who was on his way to becoming one of the biggest entertainers of all time, found himself in the tabloids every single day for false breaking news, and had even acquired the nickname ‘Wacko Jacko.’  As a response, he released a song titled, “Leave Me Alone” in 1989.   Will Chris Brown use the same tactic, and release a song titled, “Let Me Live?”

This week, he has been the focus of a few negative stories that have hit the net, including a girl who accused him of shoving her in a nightclub and breaking her leg.  Her story was later proven to be fraudulent, but on the heels of that story, the L.A. District Attorney’s office has slapped him with charges for driving without a license and a misdemeanor for a hit-and-run. Back in May Chris was driving around the San Fernando Valley with his ex-girlfriend Karrueche when they got into a fender bender with a woman. The papparazzi was there to snap some pics of the incident and although it looked like everything was all good and that everyone exchanged information, the woman ran to police claiming that Chris gave her false information.

Chris took to Twitter to publicly deny the charges, posting pics of the lady’s car showing no damage and saying even though he’s done a lot wrong in the past, he’s just trying to provide for his family and do better but folks won’t let him live.

“It’s not a hit and run if u get out the car, exchange information (who has NO DAMAGE to either cars). This is really ridiculous. I have a valid drivers license and I gave the woman the right info. She saw cameras and wanted to make a scene. She contacted the cops thinking of a payday from Chris Brown when I followed the proper procedures. My lawyers will be contacting you. I will not stand for this bullying and yellow journalism! My profile pic is the pic I took of the persons car after “the hit and run”. NO damage. Just a dirty car.once again, I gotta clear my name. I work my a– off to provide for my entire family. I’ve made mistakes in the past and have worked hard to be a better person. 19-24 years of age. I don’t have all the answers and you can’t show me a person that age who has it figured out.We live and grow. Let me live.

His ended his Twitter response with 2 Corinthians 12:10,  which is “That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
His arraignment for the hit-and-run is one July 15. If convicted, he faces up to four years in jail.
It seems as though he can not win for losing.
Post Update:
The woman who was involved in the fender bender is claiming that Chris cursed her out on the scene after he refused to give her his info. Via TMZ:

When Chris and Karrueche refused to cooperate, Olga felt she needed to get a picture of the 2 of them in case they split. As soon as she snapped the pic, she says Chris and Karrueche went nuts. Olga says, “The guy [Chris] tried to grab camera or me. I jumped back, the girl [Karrueche] screamed, ‘Don’t touch her, don’t touch her!’”

Olga says Chris then started to rant, “You are a b-tch! Who do you think you are, b-tch? Do you think if you driving Mercedes so got money, b-tch?” And then Olga says Chris dropped this, “Do you think I am just a black n***er. Olga says Chris continued screaming and then “slammed a door and drove away fast and noisy.”

Olga says Chris also “bragged about how much money he has and offered up false registration.

Olga’s lawyer, Freddy Sayegh says his client didn’t know the driver was Chris Brown at the time of the accident.

There is footage from the scene and it looked as though Chris was cooperating. There were also cameras from X17Online on site that snapped photos and video of the incident but oddly enough, they didn’t catch the confrontation. Who’s telling the truth?

During his performance, he approached an unidentified lady and thought as usual she would trip but got the shocker when he asked her to come and dance on stage with him but the lady turned him down.

D'banj not one to give up and obviously trying to avoid been embarrassed insisted and forced her to get on stage.

The lady obviously had her reasons for not wanting to dance with 'Banger Lee' (D'banj's nickname) but got on stage anyway.

Moments later, a man walked up to D'banj on stage and told him the lady in question was his wife and as such she could not dance with him.

D'banj had no choice but to let her go, the lady later left the concert with her husband.

Kanye West Talks Being A God & Love For Kim Kardashian, Has Awkward Exchange With Kris Jenner

Daddy Yeezus is back with another interesting interview after the release of his new album Yeezus, which features the controversial tracks “New Slaves,” “Black Skinhead” and “I Am A God.”   In the second interview he’s granted to promote the new LP, he chats with W Magazine about a variety of topics, including the inspiration behind the “God” track, some sex tape he’s never released, and his love for Kim Kardashian being more important than any branding.
In the feature, the journalist who visited Kanye’s home also detailed an awkward moment that happened between Kim Kardashian’s mom Kris Jenner and Kanye after he attempted to play her a song he had wrote for Kim titled, “Awesome.”

On People Saying He Masterminded Kim’s Makeover

Meanwhile, there is definitely some tension brewing between Kanye and Make-That-Money Kris Jenner. According to W’s editor Christopher Bagley:

Rihanna Responds To Daily Mail Writer Who Dubbed Her A ‘Poisonous Pop Princess’

If you are wondering who pissed in Rihanna’s cheerios this morning after she spazzed out on Instagram, all fingers are pointing to Daily Mail writer Elizabeth Ann Jones.

On Monday, Elizabeth released an article with the lengthy title, “Pop’s poisonous princess: Glorying in drugs, guns and sleaze, Rihanna’s toxic role model for her army of young fans.”  Throughout the picture heavy piece, she talked about the few times that she’s met Rihanna and her disgust with the weed-smoking, boob-exposing pop star that she’s turned into over the last few years.    She also states that Rihanna has major influence, however, she’s become a horrible role model for the young girls that follow her.

“I wish she’d stop infecting our High Streets with her gun tattoos, her false nails and fake hair, her bogus bad-ass shenanigans that try to portray her as ‘real’, as ‘street’, as her own person, as strong and single-minded.”

In the write up, Elizabeth also takes a jab at Rihanna (no pun) deciding to run back to Chris by posting a photo of her beaten face, side-by-side with a photo of her cuddled up with Chris last year.

Kevin Durant Signs With Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports, Talks Baptism

 

Is Jay-Z about to monopolize the sports agency game?

He’s snatching up your favorite athletes left and right, and his newest addition to the Roc Nation Sports roster is three-time NBA All-star Kevin Durant.
Today, the Oklahoma City Thunder forward posted an Instagram photo of himself standing next to Jay-Z and his pastor Carl Lentz of Hillsong Church NYC, after announcing that he inked a deal with Jay and the Roc crew. He also posted another photo of the exact moment Jay was signing the official paperwork with the hashtag “#NEWRULES” and quotes that read:

“Grateful for this opportunity with Roc Nation Sports. It’s go time.”

“He has 90.5 free throw shooting rate, the youngest player in the NBA to join the 50-40-90 club, a giving individual and a legend in the making. What more can I say?”

Kevin is now a part of the La Familia.
Forbes reports that this deal is a joint venture with Creative Arts Agency who will handle all the team contract negotiations while Roc Nation Sports will be in charge of Kevin’s off court business, such as endorsement deals, television appearances and so forth.

Before he signed his deal, Kevin Durant was recently baptized in a pool of water at the Hillsong Church. This Sunday, he visited the church to talk about his decision to go through with the baptism with Pastor Carl Lentz, as well as why he chose that particular church.

LeBron James didn’t have no worries or headaches last Thursday night which is Friday morning here in Nigeria, as he snagged his 2nd NBA Championship ring and MVP trophy. And the critics were definitely silent after he lead the Heat to an exciting 95-88 victory over the Spurs in Game 7.  [crickets!] Now that that’s out of the way, he can enjoy his summer, and prepare for his third ring that he’ll receive when he jumps the broom with Savannah Brinson.  After last night’s game, LeBron joked:

I got a wedding coming up with my beautiful fiancée, and it will be an unbelievable wedding now that we’ve won, instead of losing. I might have called it off if we lost.
